NATIONAL AGENDA FOR
AGRICULTURAL SAFETY & HEALTH
Twenty members representing diverse institutions
formed the North Central
Regional Committee 197 - Agricultural Safety and Health Research
and
Extension in October 2000. The goal was to utilize the Land Grant
System's
research and extension capacity in cooperation with the experience
of those
who live and work in agriculture to reduce work-related injuries,
illness,
and death.
Their first objective was to establish
a national land grant research and
extension agenda for agricultural safety and health. A document
was
produced, National Land Grant Research and Extension Agenda for
Agricultural Safety and Health. This historical document marks
the first
agricultural safety and health agenda for action by the land
grant system
since 1943.
I do have copies of the publication if
anyone is interested.
